Clayton Martin Dressage Clinic

Clinic full. Auditing welcome and free. Lunch available for $10 to non-riders.

Clayton Martin, husband of Sarah Martin, is a USDF Silver Medalist and a USDF Certified Instructor through 4th level. A native of Colorado, Clayton put himself through college rodeoing in the Bareback bronc division, and has no desire to ride bucking horses ever again. As a result, he has developed his skills with long lining, and works with developing horses from green to Grand Prix in long lines as well as under saddle. Clayton is an empathetic instructor and trainer, with tremendous patience and close attention to detail.

Clayton and Sarah are strong advocates of blending the balance, harmony and “horse sense” of Natural Horsemanship as the base from which correct Dressage training naturally emerges. Motivated students, they both are constantly seeking education from many sources, and draw on their background with nearly every style of English and Western riding to help educate their students. It does not take long around them both to feel the cohesion and dedicated partnership that has developed over the 30 years that they have been working together.
